Exclusions
Our itineraries offer a list of exclusions as an indication of what you can expect from your fishing holiday. We use a short form of wording there for clarity. This section offers more detail for those who are interested in knowing exactly what these entail.
Your visas
Visas requirements, regulations and costs vary by location and nationality. It is therefore not possible to come up with one standard fee for obtaining the visas necessary for any one trip.
We recommend that you contact your local Consulate to obtain the latest regulations and costs, or contact a Visa Service. In the UK we know that Travcour offer a reliable service.
International flights
We cannot offer international flights. Instead we recommend you use the services of a reliable travel agent. If you choose to book online:- be sure that you get the correct dates, taking account of the different time zones; and
- allow sufficient time and ensure that you are aware of any visa requirements whenever there is a change of flights en-route.
Two reliable and easy to use websites that are worth a check are:
Excess baggage on the included domestic flights
You are responsible for any excess baggage charges imposed by the airline. Email us for the current rates if you expect to bring much over your regular allowance.
Fishing tackle and equipment
You will want your own tackle.
We do include a special Catch & Release landing net for each angler, and a hook remover (with safety whistle). You may bring your own but we do this to save you one bulky (smelly) item as well as to support local conservation measures.
A limited amount of spare tackle may be available. Terminal tackle is for re-sale for those who perhaps did not bring the correct tackle. Larger items such as rods and reels, if carried, are only for loan, to cover unfortunate incidents. Better to bring at least one spare rod of your own.
Drinks
Soft drinks and beverages will be provided with meals. Alcoholic drinks will be available at reasonable cost in most destinations. On camping trips we are happy to offer a 'tab' service throughout the holiday to avoid the inconvenience of finding small change - but you may pay as you go if you prefer.
Sleeping bags
On camping trips you should bring a sleeping bag to suit your own constitution. You should check the Weather section on our What to Expect page for more details of the temperatures to expect in each country.
Gratuities for staff
We run our own reward scheme for good staff based on results over a season.
We expect that you will be delighted by the hospitality offered by all our staff. We hope that you will reward them with friendliness and a cash bonus at the end of the trip. Further guidance will be given before you depart to help you calculate your budget.
